It is a tension between matter and spirit, an attempt to awaken consciences and what they refuse to hear. Arson, a contemporary French sculptor, develops a unique universe visible in his portfolio .
A descendant of an illustrious family from Nice, Arson is a contemporary French sculptor with a free-spirited and transgressive temperament. Born in Paris in 1953, he entered the École des Beaux-Arts at the age of 16. After an initial interest in painting, he explored architecture, then returned to his first passions: painting, clay, modeling, and sculpture. His diverse background has allowed him to develop a distinctive and original personal style.
While women represent a fantasized ideal for him, his works primarily invite us to look beyond appearances. Each of Arson's creations tells a story, a unique dream, where poetry and invention intertwine. His sculptures offer an escape from an overly predictable and conventional world , and open up the imagination of collectors and contemporary art enthusiasts.

A worthy heir to the Surrealists, Arson is a poet, somewhat of an anarchist, and passionate about femininity and female creativity. Through his unconventional, often excessive and provocative works, he invites the viewer to reflect not only on women, but also on contemporary society and the taboos that constrain it.
His sculptures, somewhere between outsider art and contemporary art, evolve in rhythm with the material he passionately shapes and his unique perspective on a world in perpetual upheaval. As he likes to remind us: "Anarchy is the freedom of those who deserve it."
Inspired by Léo Ferré, who famously said "your style is your ass," Arson seems to share this view. In his work, form always allows content to shine through, revealing the essence of his creations.

"Gornica"
This painting was inspired by the tragic history of Gordes, this magnificent village that has become a shadow of its former self, transformed into a tourist backdrop devoid of authenticity. Deserted by its inhabitants, themselves neglected by a mayor more concerned with power than the common good, the village sees its streets overrun with luxury second homes, opportunistic businesses, and poorly managed mass tourism. The depopulation and cultural decline of Gordes are now well underway.
